It’s design time! I recently had the privilege of judging a design contest for Northern Hardware and Furniture. There were three contestants who each decorated a room in their upstairs furniture department. These contestants did a fantastic job, and I loved seeing their creativity and ideas. My “judge’s critique” is below. Take a read, and feel free to comment below with your own encouraging ideas.

CONTESTANT #2

LIVING ROOM:
This room is very nicely decorated. There is great use of shape repetition, and a beautiful colour pallet. I did notice that this contestant chose not to use the whole space. I would have loved to see a dining room set up as well.

For a one room concept, well done!
